Wicked Women is a gripping and evocative series that transports viewers to late 1980s Sydney, where 19-year-old Bec embarks on a journey of self-discovery and sexual liberation. Set against the backdrop of a burgeoning queer movement, Bec falls deeply in love with her flatmate Francine, and their shared passion for kink leads them to launch Australia’s groundbreaking Lesbian erotica magazine.

As they push the boundaries of societal norms, they grapple with the high cost of pioneering radical female sexuality in the spotlight and the constant struggle to stay true to themselves.

This series is a captivating exploration of gender identity, unconventional love, and the fearless quest to break societal shackles, all set against the backdrop of a defining moment in Australian Queer history. Through their unapologetic magazine and legendary Ms. Wicked Women competitions, Bec and Francine become cultural icons, offering a lifeline of representation to Lesbian women seeking to find their place in a world where they felt marginalized and overlooked.
